On August 18, 2010 at approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies were called to MAURICES located next to Wal-Mart to individuals that were in possession of credit cards that had been stolen from a residence in the county earlier in the day. Ryan P. Clark, 28-year-old white male from Dothan, and Angela Marie Craddock, 30-year-old white female, from Slocomb were detained by Andalusia Police Dept. officers after they had tried to use a credit card that had been stolen from an individual that worked at the MAURICES store. Employees of MAURICES had determined that the credit card was stolen. They notified the Andalusia Police Dept. who dispatched their officers to the scene. The card owner stated that her residence had been broken into earlier in the day out in the county. Deputies at the scene had the individuals transported to the Sheriff’s office to meet with Inv. Ted Motley. During the initial investigation, another burglary of a residence on Open Pond road was called in. Deputies responded to this call and determined that some of the items in the vehicle were similar to items missing. While on patrol in the area of Open Pond road to try and locate some of the items stolen, Deputies made a security check on the Camp Ground at Open Pound. Deputies discovered a campsite with items that matched some of the items reported stolen. These items were taken to the Sheriff’s Office for identification.

The individuals were charged with 2 counts of Burglary 3rd, 2 counts Theft of Property 2nd, and 8 counts of Illegal Possession of Stolen credit card.  Each individual has a total of $120,000 bond.
